Florence beautiful gardens
May is the ideal month to enjoy the peace and beauty of the gardens of Florence!
The most famous is undoubtedly the Boboli Gardens, a historic park of over 45 hectares located just behind Palazzo Pitti. Here the great protagonist is art: statues, fountains and beautiful buildings make the visit unforgettable.
The moment the roses bloom, between May and June, is the perfect time for a stroll in the Rose Garden, which is located just below Piazzale Michelangelo. Over 350 varieties of roses await you in this little-known gem of the city, together with the Japanese garden and 12 sculptures by the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon.
Finally, the Iris Garden is home to more than 200 species of this flower (also known as a lily) which is the symbol of Florence. The garden is located on the hill adjacent to Piazzale Michelangelo and offers a splendid panoramic view of the city.
